Please help

Hi Joey I’ve been following your journey for a while now and just this past year I found myself using kratom everyday during a difficult mental health crisis. Prior I was using kratom for the past 5 years but was able to keep my usage low to only on the weekends about only 6 grams once on sat night and 6 grams on Sunday. Now I’ve spiraling out of control and kratom is not even working for me anymore no matter dose size.I’m currently going through a benzodiazepine taper which I know on itself is dangerous to use kratom during this time but my dr over prescribed me Ativan and I got unintentionally physically addicted. I use Javanica and Hirsuta and they seem to be the only thing that works or thing that I feel. I’m all over the place right now and have no plan on what to do to get off. It’s not interfering with my life as I’m a mother of 4 young kids and taking care of my home and husband well, but deep down kratom and it’s alternatives are weighing down on me and I really need some help or some guidance to get through this so I can get enough willpower to take a few months break and go back to my original kratom routine which worked perfect for me before I got mentally sick. Right now I’m taking kratom twice daily at 12 grams per dose .

Quitting Kratom

What was the mixture that helped with withdrawals? Agmatine? Calm? Vitamin C? Is there a dosage for those? And does it help!?

Agmatine Sulfate

Hello Joey; you mentioned that Stem & Vein are good for lowering tolerance. I remember seeing an older video of yours where you mentioned Agmatine Sulfate to help with this purpose. I think that you also said also that Vitamin C & Magnesium - Do I remember correctly. I was wondering if it would be more effective if I was to add these three elements in.

Kratom and low dose Valsartan (angiotensin II receptor blocker)

Hello. I have been drinking Kratom since March 2023 and have completely given up alcohol. So far it has worked out great. I drink max 10g (2 drinks) a day during the work week and up to 20g (4 drinks) on weekend days. This week my dr. took my blood pressure and it was a high reading. In my opinion it was an outlier, as it was never recorded to be that high before and I have taken my pressure multiple times since and it hasn't been as high. Regardless, he wants me on a low dose Valsartan. Here's the kicker: my dr. said that it's ok to drink kratom on it, but online states medium to high risk, so I really don't know what to do. Does anyone know if this is safe to drink on? Thanks

Subscription commitment

Joey I’m thinking of joining the 9 dollar subscription for couple of months. How many months am I committed to once I join. I ask that because based upon some health issues I’m not so sure how long I’m going to be around but I am avid Kratom user almost daily

Longevity

Hey Joey - welcome to a new chapter in your life. I know you are interested in longevity. Was wondering if you follow David Sinclair’s work. I have followed him since I saw him on 60 minutes 20 years ago. I can go into examples of how it has impacted my family but if you have not followed him and his regimen I would Highly Encourage it. He also has a book called lifespan but tons of YouTube videos. I don’t want to go into a lot of examples if you’re already familiar with him but if you haven’t, I can give you some starter recommendations to check out. Here is one video https://youtu.be/bRWT7hVgwuM?si=LFQWLXl3spOE2Y82 Good luck - Robert

Hey question for you!

Could you please provide your opinion on my current medication and supplement regimen? Here's what I'm taking: Prescription medications: - 5-20mg Adderall XR - 10mg Escitalopram in the morning - 20mg Buspirone Natural supplements (mainly for anxiety and wakefulness): - 3g-7.5g Kratom - 1 tablespoon of Kava - 200-300mg of caffeine throughout the day Here's how I take them: Morning (upon waking): - 5mg Adderall - 1.5g Kratom - 80mg caffeine - 10mg Buspirone - 10mg Escitalopram I take an additional 1.5g of Kratom periodically until I reach a maximum of 7.5g per day. I usually take Kava once a day (1 tablespoon). At 6pm, I take another 5mg of Adderall before going to the gym, along with 1.5g of Kratom. I feel comfortable with this regimen, but I'd like to know your professional opinion. Adderall helps with motivation and focus, while Buspirone and Escitalopram are prescribed for anxiety and depression. I use Kava for relaxation at night and caffeine for increased alertness. Any suggestions on maybe supplementing a few things out of there and changing them with something else? And obviously Kratom just overall provides a sense of well being and confidence.

Congratulations On Your Taper

I've been following you around for a long time through my own Kratom journey and when I found out you decided to get off Kratom I was in a bit of a shock. I got the impression that other than dependency Kratom is pretty much harmless and I was hoping you weren't going to say that after years of your Kratom use you found out some kind of bad thing about it and decided you need to stop. It seems like you stopped because Kratom did its job when you needed it during the traumatic times in your life and now that you're moving on you don't feel the need to continue using Kratom? If that is the case this is a beautiful way to wrap up your teachings on Kratom. Would you say you would recommend Kratom for people that need to get through tough times but then when the tough times pass to put the Kratom away? So like if your life is going fine there's no reason to just be taking it but save it for when the hard times come? I felt a little down when I fond out you quit because you had such a positive and passionate stance on it but understanding why you stopped makes sense to me. I'm glad your in a better place mentally and spiritually!

A Candle

I greatly admire your going to the next chapter and finding power in Faith. It can be tough to move on, especially since you created almost a brand and helped so many. Are you still going to be carrying on as a consultant and working on advocacy and your movie? I have found my Kratom Journey useful and still structured and appreciate the input you gave thus far and want to know if you will still be there. You have allot of knowledge and a way of conveying it that is better than everything on the net. It has been a great help. Is a candle brought to be put under a bushel, or under a bed? and not to be set on a candlestick? I just hope that your knowledge is still available for the questions yet to come. Respect!

Heard you tapered off kratom in another video. Just curious why if you don't mind me asking

Or you can just delete this it's really none of my business. I love kratom but, considering tapering off just to try other stuff like adderall again. Also when you coming back to youtube? No way we can appeal on your behalf?

Trying to taper off kratom but, it's always on my mind. Any tips or tricks to not be constantly craving it between doses?

I think I've created a bit of an obsession with kratom in my head. Part of the internet believes it's perfect and the other part thinks it's the devil. So I've extensively researched both sides and still have no clue if it's a good idea to use or not. So I'm gonna error on the side of catuion this time and taper off. I got some stem and vein and hirsuta/javanica. The basic plan is to eliminate my morning dose using javanica instead and my night dose by replacing with hirsuta. Then take kratom during the day at work and reducing those doses as well. Did you ever end up taking that month break you had planned when interviewing botanical queens? I was really looking forward to seeing your results. Also I saw that you used ULDN to taper. Do you think that would be a worthwhile thing to invest in to repair my receptors quicker?

Can Kratom Intensify Anger?

I'm getting divorced and dealing with a lot of the negative feelings associated with it. I've been using Kratom as a way to boost my mood and for the most part it does and always has. There are some times when I am annoyed or angered and take Kratom to put me in a better place mentally and it sometimes greatly intensifies my anger. The last time this happened I was taking green maeng da and it put me into the most angry irritated mood ever. I let it wear itself out for 5 hours and took another slightly larger dose of the same green maeng da and it actually did the opposite where I did get the positive mood boost and the good effects we all like. This only happens once in a while. Do you think this is a result of taking too much Kratom and a longer than usual break is needed or that I should work on trying to be in a more positive mood before taking the Kratom?

Tapering off

Hey joey, I’ve been taking Kratom for quite some time and usually take between 2-10 capsules of 750mg in each or roughly 1.5 grams - 9grams a day. I love Kratom, but I end up always physching my self out & giving myself a panic moment where I think I’m gonna go crazy or something. I’ve tried to just do 2-4 a day but I always end up taking more. Anyways, question is with a lower dose like this, is tapering off necessary? If so, what do You recommend? I also take adderall, and drink caffenine daily so that also contributes to my anxiety. The Kratom was an amazing counter balance to the anxiety caused by those stims but the stims helped me stay awake and focused. Anyways any advice would be great, thanks!

Red Hula Kratom Hey, been into holistic health for many years. I have been a medical researcher going on 25 years at Emory University in Atlanta Ga. I am also a retired session musician for Atlantic Records which 25 years of that business offered me EVERY drug and lots of whiskey and I am pretty much paying the price for that wild living the last 3 years being in 7 hospitals, and refuse to see anymore doctor's after 33 Mri's and Cat scans and pokes and such. The bad side of being in pharmacy at Emory mixed with working with alot of great musicians was very toxic as I abused Dexamethasone 3 years ago on it at 8mg per day for 3 month's straight as the doctors handed it out to me like candy for RA, and went into full blown Psychosis and had to have cataract surgery and put on dialysis for 3 month's. My knowledge and access to strong drugs caused me to flatline 3 times and by God's Mercy, I am sitting here typing to you this morning. I Moved back up to VA and married my high school sweetheart, retired and living in the good ol country and farm with well water, growing organic herbs and foods, NON GMO crap, etc... Got off of 12 prescription meds this past march after 20 years of taking about everything a doctor could write! Started watching your old Youtube video's a year ago, and because of your similar mental issues being like seeing Myself in the mirror. I Started taking Kratom and amino acid's, Ginseng, Gingko, Ashwagandha and finding these all work for my ADHD, GAD, Panic Attacks, PSTD, Depression, RA, Psoriasis and CFS. Just want to Thank You for how much you have taught me and helped me get off of SSRI'S, SNRI'S, and Methadone, Norco, and Ritalin with those nasty side effects!!! As well as doctor's deciding to Stop me cold turkey off of them as if They know what is best for ME!! HA HA. Thank GOD I found your New YouTube page and makes my day after pulling up the old one's you made I had saved to my playlist, that are No longer available!!! OK, sorry Joey to ramble on about myself, but so HAPPY to have found your pages on facebook and Youtube, you are one of a few people I have respect for and have helped me transition off of prescription medications to Natural herbs and natural healing. There is good in both, but I being 61 am feeling 30 years younger mentally and physically with YOUR help and a little research on my own. Now, just courious about which Kratom brands or strains you would recommend as I have tried white, green, red and a mix of all 3 together. I do make sure I drink plenty of water taking my Kratom each day as I do also have chronic kidney disease after several prescription medications like Methotrexate for arthritis and on a plant based diet and exercising and landscaping and farming has physically and mentally helped me loose 91lbs since September 23rd, 2022. MY question with Kratom is what dose and strand do you find and recommend me taking as I mainly take Kratom for mood, arthritis and stiffness after sleeping more than 5 or 6 hours as well as motivation, mild depression and mild anxiety? I have watched every video from many doctor's and health instructors, but out of all of them, You impress me and your a very humble and good human being, and God has really blessed me from the first video I came across a year ago you posted. You probably are thinking I am a Nutt case for sure. I will be honest. I have had 3 mental breakdown's and been through 2 rehab centers for addiction to hard drugs in the past 30 years!!! I am careful with what I take now that I have my emotional and physical health the best it has been since I can remember. Right now I am taking 3grams of Red Hulu Kapuas Kratom 2 times a day depending on my physical pain. Many day's I only have to take 3grams in one entire day. I skip taking kratom at least 2 days per week as I do have an addictive personality and been through You name it, I've had it. So since I was a kid, I was born with a HGIH Tolerance, so I have even been addicted to BC powders. Ain't that crazy!! Those NSAID'S are mostly why I have stage 3 kidney disease other than that HBP and Kidney disease and diabetes which are genetic in my family. So, I do not have bad pain, just a dull aching and chronic pain with a little numbness in the morning from a pinched nerve. I have found all 3 strands of Kratom help me focus and motivation is at the highest level in many years and blessed that I have not had any side effects taking Kratom and even stopped it completely for 3 weeks and was just mainly fatigue and had insomnia. Right now I realize my weaknesses with addiction, but am really finding Kratom and some amino acid's have replaced all those nasty prescription meds and non prescription drugs!!! I do not trust the medical profession and want to keep my life simple and just get through the day in my recording studio without the arthritis pain and occasional depression and anxiety which is under control the last 6 month's. I am sure you can see in this long message that my ADHD and back pain are a bit off the chart today!!! I know each person reacts differently to any substance rather kratom as well as any foods, But I trust your knowledge and where you have been and how far you have moved forward and just feel privileged to even have access to sending you this long drawn out message this morning. So there you have it. Just not sure which Kratom with my conditions and the amount and to take it once in the morning a whole dosage, or break it up in a couple or three dosages in the day. You have more experience with kratom as I have only been taking it off and on for one year now. But one thing for sure, something is working because my wife of 10 years told me this morning, that she HAS her Breck back that she lost for 3 years to sickness and how wonderful it is to see the man she fell in love with 10 years ago back in the saddle again!!! So, many blessings and prayers for you sir, and like I said, YOU, remind me of myself so much from all the video's I have watched in the last years, so I respect you and admire what you are doing as The FDA and medical society do NOT want us to know so we have to depend on their CRAP!!! Keep on doing what you are convicted in doing and if you have time and can get through this mess I have written, would value your reply on helping me tweak the brand and strain of Kratom. Like I said somewhere in here, I am taking at average 3.5grams at 6am in the morning and 2grams around 3pm and seem to be doing fairly well, but so many brands to choose from and not sure if in my situation not having horrific pain, if green or red would be best and which brand for my situation. I am taking Earth Kratom's red Hulu Kapuas and have found the Kona Kratom, Golden Monk, and Red Bali too sometimes be a little bit too much effective and drift off at 5pm to sleep and up at midnight which is driving me crazy... Just about read on every different brand but seeking your intake on what you would suggest in brands or strains and dosages since you have Way MORE experience in trial and error than I do.. Thank You and may God bless you today and thank you for all the wonderful information that you are providing us with that the establishment tries to keep us simple folks from KNOWING... Breck

Do you make fresh kratom tea daily?

The Kratom tea topic seems to be popping up. Do you make the tea as you need it or do you make a big batch of it and have it for the rest of the week? I was thinking about using the pressure cooker method you shown us and have like a gallon sitting there on standby for whenever I want some. Do you think thats a good idea or does it make more sense to make fresh tea whenever you want some?

Kratom/Suboxone taper

In response to the question posed from one of your members I have personally worked with a licensed psychiatrist here in Charleston, that specializes in substance abuse. I can tell you that she does suggest and, will order suboxone as a way for a client to bypass bad withdrawals, as Kratom does act like an opiate on our brain... and particularly if you were/are taking a lot of an extract, which I was. I've been there, done that. Perhaps this might help Joey.

throid issues

Been using Kratom 5 to 6 times a week for a couple of years. GREAT pre-workout supplement. I have been using Armour thyroid for years. Probably age related(I am now 70 year old). In the last 6 months my thyroid function has been slowing down. Could this be caused by Kratom use? If so, do you know any ways to mitigate problem? Thanks Joey
