The best part of deconstruction is the fact that there is absolutely no one answer to this. For me, deconstruction means looking at your beliefs internally. Diving deep into your emotional space to see what rings true for you. And mirroring that or I should say pairing that, with actual research into your religion, history, other religions. 
&nbsp;
The goal should be to see if you believe the same things that you&rsquo;re learning. People often just take up where their family left off, accepting the same way they were raised as &lsquo;truth and fact. Or they listen to a single pastor, or maybe they go wider to learn from multiple preachers, but still follow a single denomination. To me, that&rsquo;s allowing other people to decide what you believe&nbsp;for you. Deconstructing is having the means, ways, and tools to do it yourself.
&nbsp;
But, as far as atheism? It doesn&rsquo;t have to be. I have many friends, in the deconstruction Community, who still identify as Christian. After you&rsquo;ve broken down your core systems&hellip; Then you can rebuild them. Most people call this process reconstruction, and questioning your faith doesn&rsquo;t always mean losing your faith. Doubt can also be growth.
