Hello there!

Today is going to be a quick hit — a boost and a dose of clarity for you about the world of expert creators. Here at FIVE, we’ve seen it all and I want to help break it down for you.

In this world of abundant content and diverse creators, it's beneficial to draw some distinctions.

Let's break down the social influencer universe into two basic categories: entertainers and experts. It's an over-simplification, of course, with myriad subcategories, but it offers a broad perspective that helps understand different approaches that social influencers fall into.

The Two Buckets

First, we have our entertainers. These fall into a wide range from comedians to Instagram models. They fill our feeds with fun and frivolity. They provide an escape from the daily grind, offering us space for downtime and diversion. Their content is primarily one-to-many, an entertaining spectacle that keeps their audience engaged and amused.

On the other side, we have our experts. They are an entirely different breed. Their content is typically educational, offering insights, knowledge, and actionable advice. The interaction model leans more towards one-to-one at first and then builds towards a one-to-many model.

That’s where we’ve decided to specialize here at FIVE. The expert social influencer desires genuine engagement where community-building is not just a buzz phrase, but a vital necessity.

The struggle of many creators lies in keeping up with engagement while generating consistent content. Creators feel a deep sense of responsibility towards their followers. We feel a deep sense of responsibility to help Creators achieve their goals.

When we created our platform, our objective was to be supportive at one of the most critical junctures - the intersection of the expert creator and the engaged, interactive follower.

How would this happen?

  • By leveraging data, tools, and insights.
  • By working within native platforms.
  • By helping creators become more efficient - engaging with more people and creating more content with less effort.

In this world of abundant content and diverse creators, the ability to analyze comments and direct messages is vital to understanding what the audience wants. Armed with this knowledge, we've developed a toolset that works seamlessly within native platforms, or as we say it "inside the rails".

It's like having a supercharged account that works behind the scenes to enhance your existing social platforms.

In a landscape populated by generic social listening/posting tools like Hootsuite and Buffer, the common approach has been to provide broad toolsets. We've taken a different path – starting from the ground up, we've crafted a tool specifically to cater to the needs of creators.
