Hello Baxate, what classes do you recommend taking in High School if you plan on studying CS in college?
Hey bax, I’m curious to know if chances of getting into let’s say Georgia tech higher as a transfer student after freshman year of college compared to a senior in highschool applying. Thanks.
Did you take Physics and Chemistry in High School to become a software engineer?
I’m an ISyE Major at GaTech and I want to break into a top consulting firm (MBB), but since I started college at 16 I won’t be old enough for most internships i found for summer 2024. I know prior work experience is very important for getting a junior year internship (summer 2026) at a top consulting firm but I never found any internships and missed the boat for summer 2024 recruiting (1 part my age, 3 parts neglecting this). How badly am I screwed if I don’t get at 2024 internship? How can I make up for it? Will I still have any chance at a good management consulting internship in 2026 or would the competitive nature of these internships not cut slack for lack of experience? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
I am a sophmore CompE at UIUC, and all my friends have internships lined up at big tech for next summer while I'm still doing interviews and applying. I wonder if its because I go to a public school and maybe if I worked in harder in highschool I coulda went to MIT or something. Do you think its still possible for my TC to be 200k straight out of college. Please let me know!
