Hi Baxate! Right now I'm going into CS as a freshman, and I was hoping you could give me a bit of guidance. In high school I took AP CS A and got credit for it, so I'll be taking DSA my freshman semester. However, since I haven't taken that class yet I couldn't really do leetcode yet, but I still want to get an internship this summer. I have a bit of experience with mobile apps and html, but I don't feel it's enough to create the type of projects worthy of a CS resume. Long story short, I do really want to find an internship this summer, but I don't think I'll have the proper experience/skills/resume necessary. Any advice on my next steps?

Hi Baxate, What are good personal projects you could do, in high school in order to gain knowledge and put on your resume.

Im currently a CS junior and have been applying to internships. I have personal projects as proof of proficiency in my listed skills however I do not have any relevant work experience/prior internship in CS. My cs department reached out to me about becoming a teaching assistant/lab assistant for lower level CS courses. Is this opportunity worth my time and effort and would look good on resume/help me get an internship? Thx for your time

Hey man, love your videos. They've helped a ton and give insightful information about things that for some reason aren't general knowledge. I have a question regarding my resume, and I feel you're one of the few people that could help me answer this that I know of. To break it down, I am currently in my second summer of a software development internship at a Telecommuncation company, Bell, in Canada and going into my 3rd year of comp engineering at a non-target school (bc it's Canadian). It is my only relevant work experience other than, bartending/serving, and working in a grocery store. I have done different things each summer within the company but under the same role. On my resume do I create 2 headings under the same name for either summer? And do I add anything else to the work experience part? I am a finance director of a cancer charity club and have a few engineering projects. But other than that, I don't have much else. What do you suggest I throw on the resume? Hey Baxate, I just finished my freshman year and declared my cs major this spring. So far I have just taken the first cs class which is python and next semester i’ll be doing data structures in java. I am kind of overwhelmed because i want to start an internship next summer but i feel i don’t have enough knowledge and i don’t have a good resume yet to start applying. I want to use this summer to start projects in python and I also want to learn java to make next semester easier for me. I also want to learn how to use other python libraries to help me start good projects. I want to start web development or UI/UX because i feel i need more things to make my resume look good and of course gain more knowledge. I kind of feel knowing all these right now may not even be what i exactly need to land an internship but i don’t know. I really wanna know what is necessary for me to learn so that i will focus on them with the aim of getting a resume and the knowledge i can use to get an internship. I don’t wanna waste the summer.
