Hi Baxate I'm from Lebanon and currently going into my 1st year as a mechanical engineering student in LAU byblos lebanon and I'm planning to do a masters program abroad later on in renewable energy. In order to land a highly paying job in the future abroad and for instance the USA, is the name of the university in which I did my masters what is essential, or is the bachelor diploma a big parameter in the jobs' decision?

Hi Baxate! I’m a math major at a mid-upper tier school on the west coast. I was wondering what’s your take on math majors progressing into SWE roles ? I personally have found it challenging to land internships, and some math classes have hit my GPA hard. (But, never failed a class). I’ve built mutiple projects/been apart of swe roles at small startups and school clubs/took DSA. Do you have any tips for how to make myself stand out? Thanks!

hey Carter, of course there is no definitive answer, but i’d appreciate your insight on the matter. I’m currently an incoming computer science freshmen in a california community college deciding whether to transfer to something relatively cheap such as ucla or ucsd , or to a school like georgia tech. Taking into account the alumni status, career opportunities, etc. would you say the out-of-state tuition [average ~$30k a year (mine may be less due to low income)] is worth it in the long run?

Hello Baxate! I graduated with an associates degree in science at age 18 (I did high and college together) with the thought of graduating 2 years early. Because of the amount of classes in my degree plan it may take the regular time to graduate with my Bachelor’s. I am REALLY bad at coding or just anything in Computer Science but I’m still looking to get better. My family is also very dependent on me so I really want to find a a software engineer internship or job soon! How do I get started with that. I am considered a senior already because of the amount of credits I have but I am a junior based on the year of college I’m in. Do I need side projects to land a paid internship? What do I need to do??
