Hi I am a 17 years old Spanish who wants to become a software ingenier. Would It be difficult to work at Big tech such as Google, Spotify or Facebook in the USA due to my nacionality?

Hey! This fall I start my academic year as an undergrad student, the first year remains undecided and we get to declare our major by the end of the year. That being said I got into the business school, where I now want to pursue a major in business management/finance and minor in CS. I can change my school and shift completely over and have a degree in CS as well but that option is circumstantial as in if I can maintain a standard 3.5 gpa. Nonetheless I wanted your opinion on the major considering my country is a third world country and currently in an economic crisis with an all time high inflation rate and whether or not if one day if I want to pursue a career abroad In the US or European Countries even, will I be able to? And last but not least with little to no background in CS how and where do I start? Especially if I want to get ahead and grasp better opportunities?
What would you like to say for students who wish to have a career in embedded systems/embedded software engineer?
im currently applying for a university degree and im stuck between 2 choices 1) computer engineering 2) software engineering i heard alot about both and im confused what should i go for. also i have no idea what a computer engineering would take me to, what would i be, what am i working with and for whom. please advise me
Hello Bax, I heard you and Ben talk about how much you guys enjoyed the Intro to OOP class at GT. Looking at the topics though, it is literally exactly the same as my AP CSA class I took in high school. In your opinion, is the class valuable enough that I should take it at GT or should I just try to test out of it? Thanks for the advice as always!
