Hey Baxate, I am going to start university this fall, my intended program of study is CS and Stats major and a math minor. The thing is that my college is in Canada (University of Toronto) and I have been told that tech opportunities in Canada are far less than US so I am planning to do as many internships as possible during my graduation to secure a good job. So what would you recommend I do so that I can get an internship right after my 1st year and is that even possible to do so?

I have a bad going going into junior year but I really enjoy comp sci, however with it being a competitive field I’m pretty nerve out going into this year. I almost feel like giving up.

How important is knowing dsa or just DSA in general on the job? Is it only helpful for getting the job? Besides maybe knowing basic data structures like arrays and hashmaps is it helpful?
