What are the differences in doing your taxes when making a backdoor roth IRA. I have read that there are certain forms or things to specify when doing taxes if you create a backdoor as opposed to regular roth IRA and im confused and not familiar on how to approach this. Also do you recommend creating a backdoor even if you do not make over the salary cap for a regular Roth IRA but plan to in the future?

Sorry for the late message. I’m transitioning roles and am currently finishing up my masters from Boston University in software development. I lead a team of developers for a startup called FreeWater along with doing work for 3 other startups. My major problem is that most of my experience will be in venture, I am doing a fellowship this summer with Bloomberg Beta along with investing stuff throughout the rest of my grad school program, by the time I graduate but I do want to work as a full time developer when I finish. Do you have any advice for me? I currently have a 2.77, which should go up drastically after this summer, but that is with me working a full-time job as an SEO along with doing work with startups. I also want to position myself to potentially get a senior dev role if possible.
