Hey Bax, i’ll give you some background information about me. I was introduced to coding in Dec of 2021 and felt like it was the first career i could ever actually like. By Jan 2022 I started learning full stack development and doing an online self paced program. I did that and finished by June that same year. I got a job but I only work when they had a project for me(it’s been almost two years and i’ve inly worked on 2 projects for a combined 2 months). Continued learning since then and tried looking for full time jobs for months but only ever got a few interviews that led nowhere. I stopped for a couple months and started to realize how far behind I was. I didn’t know anything about data structures and algorithms or had a decent portfolio website. Circumstances led to me having to return to school and I found out about WGU that let me do a B.S is Software Engineering at my own pace; started April 2023. All of this to ask if I should wait until I finish my schooling(could be Sep 23 or Mar 24) to start looking for jobs again or apply now and leave out schooling from my CV? And if it changes anything I am married and got laid off from my regular full time. Open to internships also.
Hi baxate! im 17, and am graduating from high school in a week or two. I start my studies at BGSU in the fall, majoring in SWE. However, I'm not very knowledgeable on coding currently. I know a bit of python, c, and java, but am nowhere near proficient enough to do much. With that being said, I have a few questions. is there anything more i should watch or take over the summer to improve my skills before college, or is it even necessary? will college teach me everything? im taking harvard's CS50 class online over the summer just to get a feel for it, but thats about it. also, i have a bit of fear regarding finding a job when im done with college. ive heard a ton of horror stories on trying to get internships and jobs, and it makes me fearful. I'm particularly worried, because for me to get my degree, I need to have an internship. anything i should know on that front? thanks!
Hello friend I was wondering if you can help me find an online job as a programmer from my country Lebanon?
Hey there, I’m a 16 year old from Palestine, we came to America because my sister has a kidney disease and it effected me with my health a lot I am currently in sophomore year in high school failing with a 1.0 gpa because I’ve done absolutely no work sophomore or freshman year, I would like to be a nurse, although this seems far from what I can achieve academically now. people told me to do good junior and senior year and get a good grade on my act and then possibly get into a decent university, if not then apparently I can go to community college and transfer What advice would you have for me to achieve goal of being a nurse in my situation? What websites/courses would you recommend for me to study on for the act/sat Sophomore year ends In a few weeks i also did credit recovery and summer school for my freshman year and will be doing summer school again this summer for sophomore year
